Review: Episode 8.6 Parents

One of the things of which I don't speak much is The parenting. I think it's a delicate topic, because the parents often take difficult decisions. Sometimes the decisions are considered stupid by us... Sometimes these are considered good, because either we like it or we think is good for us. But our parents also have had bad decisions (according to our point of view and theirs). However, I'm considered when I say that our parents do it for our welfare.

The latest House's episode studies that complicated leson I liked so much. Of course, it is taken in an original way, a way that only House know to create. And that's good for me. But don't think I love it because it's House or because it's original. I really liked it because I was agree with all the opinion they say. At first, it was strange (for me), and I didn't think that it was correct... But when the episode was in her last minutes I understand it perfectly.

Our parents have mistakes. These are worst or better depending on the case. They are always characteristic of humans. And we must to forgive it.

In the episode, however, the mom don't think the same thing. She considered that her son don't have to see to his died dad. He believed that it was not good, he was a clown, his dad was a clown. In the mind of the mom, the dad was a irresponsible man, in the son's mind it was not bad. In fact, he loves his dad and think that his job was good, at least better than the job of his step-father.

Obviously, they all (including House and the team) were in a problem. How to practice the procedures if they needed the help of the deceased dad? The medical case was a headache due to that. But, when we knew that the dad isn't dead (the mom was lying to protect the son), the medical case was considered a stupid thing compared with the social aspect, the family aspect.

And if it was not enough, the relation of Taub with his daugthers was another point I loved so much of the episode, but that was not so good for Taub, who had to face his parent complications.

The parenting was something to enjoy in that moment. But that's not all. We also learned that Chase had a complicated early life with his alcoholic mother and father, and Chi with her parents. But, Adams, she assured that her parents are good. House didn't believe it, of course.

And then, the case continues and Chase and House want to know the true history of the Adams's parents. Perhaps a unorginial storyline, but I don't think it... And the good dialogues agreed with me. Plus, we have a interesting clinic patient, a man that assures to have diabetes, when the true is he has problems due to the diabetes medications he takes to treat the suspect disease. How ironic! But it's House and it's good for me...

House also has another interesting problem in this episode. He want to go to a Box Match with Wilson, but he can't because he only can be in the hospital and in his house. Apparently impossible. But not for House. We see a House looking for a genious way to go to the Box Match in Atlantic City, and that, a House that I loved.

Coming back to the Patient's case, we understand that the real father, who finally went to the hospital raped to his son when he was 4, the son that loved him so much, and the syphilis infected her body. After years, the disease was decreasing, but when he is kicked by a child the nightmare came back. And then, is when the complicated mom says the true. She knew that her husband was sexually abusing her son, she found out it when he saw a clothes and she didn't want the father were with her son because she don`t want that he hurts him. The mom was trying to be a good mother... and that was part of the parents aspect.

Taub has to say to the patient he has syphilis. He did it, but he didn't say that he was raped. When Taub tells it to House, House understand and says that Taub believed in his heart and not in his brain, another thing that the parents does... and another parents aspect to add to the episode.

We also learn that Adams didn't have a good parents. She was rebellious. However, she explain that he wanted to work with House, something unexpected... but that says another thing that was locked in my mind.

Taub finally decides what to do. And another aspect of parenting is revealed. We have to make decisions...

I really loved this episode, maybe it was bit boring, but I liked her dialogues, especially this: ICU is wasting time in Latin (or something like that). The relation between Taub and Ruby seemed to me very cute... And it is a high note for me. Another thing I loved from the episode was when House apparently drank the urine of the man that believed he had diabetes, and the true was that the suspect urine was apple juice.

And if I mention the final scene (Foreman and House in Atlantic City at the same time that a astonished but calm Wilson watch T.V.) and I say that it was super, the best scene I have seen in my life you would have no problems to understand this episode was very good.

I don't know why a lot of fans thought this episode was bad. It was special, unique (more than many House episodes) because it has a bit of everything: irony, interesting medical case, an unique House and a perfect theme.

House isn't an educational show but I do love this episode due to the valuable lessons. And that's good enough for me...

8.5/10

[L]ove Project: Why is House a great series?

A promise is a promise. Here is the project I talked about yesterday...

Everybody knows (and especially after you read my previous entry) that House is a great series. But, there is an interesting question, which affects it: The reason. Why is House a great series?, this is a good question that deserves a good answer.

In order to get an answer to explain the great results of House in the TV, many people have helped me. These responses are part of our first project: [L]ove. And I know it's an excellent way to explain what we think about House M.D. Finally, here are their explanations:

Why do you think that House is a great series?

@cindyatencio1

Because of the House's personality, because of the way they treat the illness, because of the internal relationship.

Yeah, that's right. You can't say House is great without thinking in his personality, his unique personality. And neither if you don't understand the perfect way the producers/writers use to show the patients' illness. It's impossible.

But, what about a series without originality?

House isn't this type of series. Ask to @redtulip_Ana, if you don't believe me, and this will be the answer...

@RedTulip_Ana

Because it's unlike anything seen before! It's Smart! Mixing human relations and medicine.

It's clear. House is unique, it is not a normal series, it's a great series, a great gift. There are few series that treats the people like House... Without doubts!

House is a serious and humoristic series...
You can't watch House without chuckling, and this is one reason that Hols14HL gave to me to explain why he loves House:

@Hols14HL

It’s so good because of the amount of humor it can combine with the deadly serious drama. I also love the way they come up with new crazy medical ideas that are able to surprise us constantly. Plus House’s character is so deep that we are always uncovering details about who he is and how his mind works. :) best tv drama ever :)

I agree. House isn’t only a great series, it’s acrazy… And I love it…

But, House is anti-hero. Is it bad? I don’t think so.

These are the reasons of MsHouseFan and Steph aka tvfashionaddict gave to me:

@MsHouseFan

Because of the medical mysteries and the Anti-Hero character of House.

Of course. I also love the medical mysteries… And about Anti-Hero aspect… let’s see what Steph has to say:

@tvfashionaddict

From the beginning I was captivated by a character that broke boundaries. House is an antisocial antihero that people of all ages and nationalities love because of his brilliance. Hugh Laurie makes all the difference, he is simply phenomenal. My favourite episodes are often dark and dramatic. There is nothing like a House finale. I give a lot of credit to the writers and directors for transforming ideas into the most compelling television.

Yeah, it’s interesting to see a series, in this case, House M.D. can be so relevant, in our world, in our way of seeing things. House is just special for these things. That’s true. But, what more can you see?

I’m sure that you can say much information. GregHouseAddict convinced me about that. Let’s see why he thinks House is a great series:

@GregHouseAddict

Wow that's one hard question! Let's see I love House because:
-The actors are incredibly talented they do an amazing job every week. Now after 8 years I can't tell they are acting. It's much more like they are living their lives in front of cameras.
-The writing is so interesting,there is always this 'Wow I didn't think of that' or 'that's never crossed my mind' feeling. The writers are so clever,everything is related,they made the relations between the medical case and the characters story lines and it takes a lot of concentration to discover the relations.
Also the puzzle and mysterious factors are so important to me. I find it amusing to see House only interested in solving this puzzle with passion,which made me interested too.
One other thing,I like the 'thinking out of the box' in the show.
And don't forget the morals and interesting causes they brought us every week. Always interesting and you can't but think of it and take your side of it.
And last but not least every week I learn millions of medical stuff that come handy in real life.
-Directing and all other technical things that I don't understand,I feel like watching two people having a conversation right in front of me,or a sick patient lying in bed in a hospital room and I am on the other side of glasses windows, so I think these things are pretty well done.
Bottom line House is one of a kind show, always worth watching.

Ujum, I can definitely say that House, now that you say it, is a good series to learn about medical stuffs. I didn’t know what ER meant, but thanks to House, I already know it and more… In Fact, I think medicine is great! So, good point…

There are more…

The next reason is from Venezuela (yes, my country):

@JessesWifeMD

Because it's more than could have been invented, because no matter how many times you see it, you always enjoy it and if it has 20 seasons, people will see it, because even major characters go out, the show will be the best. Because even though House is sarcastic, arrogant and everything, he’s always right in what he says and people notice it.

And as she says it, there is a girl, who has an interesting reason to say:

@LorenaHouse

Because House has everything that I need. It’s funny, it has a good drama, and It has response for questions about our life. Moreover, the series say what we mean,having a philosophical content that makes us reflect on what we do.

It’s so good to find a person who thinks the same thing… Oh, philosophical

But that’s not all:

And you, why do you think that House is a great series?

@SCLAURIE

Because they’re brave enough to tell stories that no other series has ever told.

they’re brave… :D

And also:

@YAHNIS14

Because we all love what House says - everybody lies. Amazing mix of serious&fun. HL and LE is the best couple of actors.

@ANA_M_q

It has the most complex character on TV - House; the best actor: HL; the best dialogues and stories.

What can I say? I’m with you, Ana_M_q… And with you, Aizeak…

@Åizeak

1) Because it’s a study of the personality of Gregory House 2) Because patients represent the best and worst of mankind. For me, House isn’t a television series, Gregory House is a philosophy of life, which I learned much. I adore it.

Again, the same word… Philosophical… House isn’t a television series, good point. It’s more than that.

And paultheugly gave me a short response, but a response that I consider when I watch House…

@paultheuglydog

I just love how House messes with his team members. House tricked Adams into paying for his car repairs.

And if you don’t believe in the richness of House, there is a response that explains it:

@Gabbyg77

H= big series because of its richness of detail, hidden meanings, lots of subtext in the episodes and Hugh Laurie as leading actor

I can’t say it better…

The previous reasons are more than reasons, I think they are the essence of great House fans. I love this essence, so, there are the last responses that the fans sent me:

@VisitKarte

House combines intriguing medical mystery, tortured and brilliant main character played by the most amazing actor on TV, HL

Hugh Laurie is a great actor. I know. You know. The world knows. And these fans know… Cool, no? :D

@AletheHouseWife

I think it's good because it doesn't give answers but leaves you wondering and forces you to find your own, if there's one.

I love looking for answers. In this aspect, House is like the world… Because House is a world, my world… (only when I see tv and I think in greatness)

On the other hand, STINAEVENAS also joined to us and she explained her reasons:

@Stinaevenas

The character House and his honesty. The storylines. Every unique episode. The Cast. The Fandom.

Everything is perfect.

Finally, I want to share with you the last but not least response. Its from Malak_Usa

@Malak_MSA

It connects with me on an intellectual,spiritual level.It makes me think about life;people,attitudes,weaknesses Hope vs despair. It sends a message; no matter what flaws we have, we can still be creative & help others & we can still survive & learn & try. It shows what a noble science that is Medicine in an intriguing mix of drama, suspense, reality &humor. Great perfect formula. I love the rare chemistry between all characters. Especially between House & Chase. Maybe because I can relate to both of them. In summary; [H]ouse M.D tv show is different, unique & it inspires me...GREATLY.

18 reasons. I love them because they are all for me. The reason are different, but they have a common point.

House is more than a normal series. He has everything to be considered a great show. The character of Greg House is unique, and I can say it without getting tired. All the characters are perfect. The writers, producers and directors are incredible. The sarcastic aspect is something I love. And the illness, how they treat it are a good example of good television.

I don’t know if there are more words to explain it, but I know that when I watch tv I only can think in House, in his great cases, great stories. House is one of the few shows that have changed the world, our world, my world… And it’s enough to make me to smile.

And if not, ask to one of the previous great Fans.

House forever and ever…

And nobody will change it…

Thank you very much to all the collaborators. They helped to make it possible.

A big event is coming...

Perhaps the title got your attention or not. It doesn't matter. The important thing is that there is a big project, a project made for you. A project that will give a great hit in all what we know (and what we don't) about our love: House. This project will be a perfect example, a perfect explanation to show the reasons that lead us to like House.

And you can be part of this project. You can send me a Tweet to @DrHousewiki, or if you prefer, you can leave a comment below, where you explain why you consider that House is a great series.

There isn't a deadline, so, send your answers. By the moments, we have 7 responses. When we have 10 or 20 (it depends on the size) the project will be closed.

I hope you enjoy this, the new way to show the world why you love your shows.

See you soon... (I will be posting the big article the next time)

House's World (English)

Recently, I have thought about something, after that I found an old Selecciones magazine, where it speaks a little about House. This magazine is a very old edition, however, it's interesting anyway. I had lost it, so I could not upload it, but here is a photo. It's magnific.

The photography of Greg House with her mouth blocked with "Band-Aid", the title "Lo que tu médico no te dice", the very armonic green botton, and the unique presence of the doctor, makes that you don't have problems to understand what it means: to stand out the character. The photo is a jewel from the magazine. But it is not what I want to comment..

What I want to say is that it's wonderful the big influence that our favorite doctor has given to the world. We know he's a little orthodox, sarcastic, clever and unique doctor. But Further on, it's a big icon.

If you don't believe me, why appear a photo of House in the magazine insted of another doctor? ¿ Why House won Prizes several times? Why he is in the Guiness World Records? The answer, friends, is that there aren't doubts, House is an important character in our time.

No matter how many geographic limits he cross, no matter how many cultures. No matter how many House-like series exists, House is unique and nobody can change it.

By the moments, you can enjoy with season 8 of House. I hope that Mister Shore says to us that House will have a season 9. However, if this doesn't happen, at least we know that House, both the series and the character, will be alive in our hearts and in our minds as/like those whom could change the whole earth.

House's World

Me parece magnífica.

No importa cuantos limites geográficos cruce, cuantas culturas.

Episodio 8, Perils of Paranoia: Descripción

A PATIENT'S PARANOIA HAS AN ADVERSE MEDICAL EFFECT ON AN ALL-NEW "HOUSE" MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28, ON FOX

In the fall finale, a prosecutor suffers from what he believes to be cardiac arrest during an interrogation at the witness stand. The team's preliminary diagnosis is hyper-anxiety, but when Adams and Park investigate the patient's home and find a hidden arsenal of firearms, they uncover a more alarming and deep-seated psychological disorder. Also, Wilson becomes obsessed with proving that House is hiding something in his home, Park slowly comes out of her social shell and Foreman's lack of romantic relationships piques the interest of Taub and Chase in the all-new "Perils of Paranoia" episode of HOUSE airing Monday, Nov. 28 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (HOU-808) (TV-14 D, L)

***

Revisión de The Confession

O tal vez no tanto...
